How to Cut out an Object From an Image in Gimp using Free Select Tool

Intro:
Hi guys this is f&D In this video I'm gonna show you how to cut off an object from the background using the free select tool. So let's get Started.

Steps:
Here is the image I'm going to extract this cube kind of thing from the image using the free select tool. you can select this free select tool either by clicking the Free Select tool icon or by pressing F on your Keyboard.

Using Free Select tool you can select the image using two different types. first one is by drawing using your mouse. Press the left click on your mouse and draw the selection. First method is not the perfect way to do so. Second method is same as the path tool but the disadvantage is that you can't undo the nodes that you have created.

After finished selecting the region. Invert by Clicking Ctrl + I and Press Del on your Keyboard to Remove Background.

Conclusion:
I am also not going to recommend this type of selection and background removal. The best way is using the path tool. I already posted the video tutorial on our Channel. So go and check it out.

That's it.

Note:
Gimp is the perfect Alternative for Photoshop. You can also use this same method in photoshop as well.
