GIMP Tutorial : COLOR SPLASH

Hi Everyone, In this video I'm gonna show you how to get a color splash effect for your Image using the open source software called GNU Image Manipulation Program simply known as GIMP. Color splash effect is that some region of the image is in color while others are in Black and White.

Note:
GIMP is the Alternative for Photoshop. Hence you can try this same method in photoshop as well.

Steps:
1. Open an image in the software
2. Duplicate it.
3. Remove the Colors from the Duplicated Layer
4. Add Alpha Channel to the Black and White Layer
5. Add Layer Mask to the B/W Layer
6. With Black as the Foreground Color brush it over the region you need to get the Color Back in Layer Mask.

That's it. Now you got the Color Splash Effect
