How to Colorize a Black and White Photo Using GIMP

Hi everyone, In this video I'm gonna Show you How to Convert Black and White Image into Color Photo

There are three different methods to convert a black and photo to Colour Photo.

Note:
GIMP is the Alternative for Photoshop. Hence you can try this same method in Photoshop as well.

Methods:
1. Using Colorify: Duplicate the Image and Go to Colors- Colorify and choose the color you wanted. Then add layer mask with Black full transparency and with foreground color white brush on the region that you need that Color. Then Change the Mode of that Layer if you want.

2. Solid Color: Add New Transparent Layer and Choose foreground Color and brush it over the region and change the mode of that Layer.

3. Colorize: Duplicate Layer and Go to Colors- Colorize and Move the Hue until you get your Color and Use Layer Mask with Black Full Transparency and Brush it over the Region.

That's it. These are the different Methods to Turn Black and White Portrait to Colour.
